My Bio

I am a cosplayer and martial artist.

It seems like I can't be consistent! I post a cosplay or two and then I drop off for a while until I remember I have this profile. In an effort to distance myself from the daily routine of scrolling on social media apps, I'm going to try to focus on my sewing, my deviantart, and thinking about what I'm going to cosplay! The last year I definitely did a better job at getting more cosplays done - I brought 5 cosplays to Otakon in 2023 which was a first. I usually do not switch cosplays throughout the day but I decided I was going to try that in 2023. In 2023 I am planning to check out two new conventions which should provide opportunity to explore new locations for photos and trying out some more cosplays! I've been utilizing a trello board to keep myself honest and organized. So we will see how it goes. I'm currently working on Sailor Star Healer and once I get that out of the way, I will start working on some NOT Sailor Moon cosplays. I want to branch out and challenge myself with

Holy cow it has really been a while since I posted any new pictures or updates. Actually, it has been a while since I even sewed a new cosplay. A few things happened in my personal life that required some time off - after many years of full contact karate training combined with starting BJJ in 2016 resulted in hip injuries due to hip impingement. I also tore my wrist while training for a tournament so for the last few years while I focused on recovery, getting strong again, and getting back on the mat, cosplay dropped really low on my list of priorities. When I was strong enough to go back to the gym COVID happened so I pivoted and reevaluated other things in my life, like my career in publishing. I loathed being in that industry after so long and reset the clock on my career - I am a software engineer now! I feel challenged, happy, and supported. I'm now in a good place in life and feeling the itch to stitch! I'm currently working on a Ghost in the Shell cosplay - something I've been

Bumbling along

0 min read
Hi All! I am slowly bumbling through my Yuuko cosplay. I cannot believe I started working on it last August and it is not complete yet! Full time job, graduating school, and martial arts training every day really makes it difficult to find time to sew! I think I will start devoting weekends to cosplay so I can keep this hobby going beyond college. You can follow my progress here: http://www.tumblr.com/blog/supersailormars I also started my Twitter again so you should follow me :)  @LizzietheLizz
